Classes

We are currently offering only private lessons.  Please check back for updates on group classes.

Private Wedding (First Dance) Lessons

If you are looking for a fantastic "first dance" for your upcoming wedding, you've come to the right place.  We've helped prepare many couples to look and feel great for their special wedding dance.  In fact we hold a special place in our hearts for people preparing for their first dance - we got started dancing to prepare for ours!

We offer discounts for private dance lesson packages and also for small groups if you'd like the whole wedding party to take part.  It's pretty fun.  Please give us a call at 509-493-3260, or send us an email for more info.

Group Class Descriptions

As stated above, we are not currently offering regularly scheduled group classes.  Just to give you an idea of what classes we've recently taught, the following are a few class descriptions.

One Step: One-Step is the original form of Foxtrot, and of Slow Dancing, again born here in the United States, and emerging at the turn of the century.  It was considered scandalous at the time (as was Waltz), and the youngsters who were dancing it in the 1910's were creating wild "animal" variations that tormented their parents (and were later incorporated into Charleston variations)!  We LOVE this dance - the steps are so easy (can you walk?) that you can be fully present to the music and your partner without worrying about your feet.  This is a dance that you can groove with; to swing and jazz standards, to slow rock standards (ever wanted to be able to really dance to Van Morrison?), and to blues.
Prerequisite: None! No experience necessary

Cuban Style Salsa I: A fun and fluid style of Salsa from the country that started it all - Cuba!  With simple basic steps and great moves, it's no wonder Salsa has become one of the hottest club dances in the U.S.
We alternate our Salsa 1 content each session & recommend you take this class twice to be fully comfortable with all of the Cuban Salsa basics before advancing to Cuban Salsa II
Prerequisite: None! No experience necessary

Cuban Style Salsa II - Our Favorites: OK, this is our last session for awhile, 'cause Krissy's pregers!  So, for our finale we will pick our favorite moves and combinations from all of the Salsa II classes we've taught over the years.  This should be fun!
Prerequisite: Comfort with Cuban Salsa basics (we recommend that you take Cuban Salsa I twice before taking this class)

Savoy Style Swing: Take the basic pattern of East Coast (6-count) swing, add the styling, movement and playfulness of one of the latest dance crazes: 8-count Lindy Hop, and what do you get? A very simple dance that really swings: 6-count Lindy! This class is designed for experienced swing dancers as well as beginners. We will start with the basics, but even you East Coast Swing veterans will be inspired by the dynamic movement and freedom to play that are the hallmarks of Lindy Hop.
Prerequisite: None! No experience necessary

Lindy Hop Essentials - Footwork: This is part of the series of "essentials" classes designed to increase your repertoire and comfort with intermediate level Lindy Hop.  We will be focusing on footwork: syncopations and variations to liven up your dancing, to play with your partner, and to play with more of the subtleties in the music.
Prerequisite: Lindy Hop I and II
